Simple Hatching Instructions:

  • Preparation: Fill a clean hatching container with 1 liter of warm, dechlorinated water (28–30°C recommended). Add 1 tablespoon of non-iodized salt per liter of water.
  • Aeration: Use a gentle air pump to keep water circulating continuously during incubation.
  • Add Cysts: Add 1 gram of brine shrimp cysts to the prepared hatching solution.
  • Lighting: Provide a consistent light source during the 24-36 hour hatching period to ensure optimal results.
  • Harvesting: After hatching, turn off aeration and allow unhatched cysts to settle. Use a fine mesh or siphon to collect the hatched nauplii.
  • Rinsing: Rinse nauplii with fresh water before feeding them to your aquarium pets.
  • Storage: Store unused cysts in a cool, dry place or in the freezer for extended freshness.

I did feel respected by there being a extra added because it's sometimes hard for every little shrimp to make a big trip and I did, in fact, have one arrive 'expired'. The others were in excellent health :-)
